The work comes first
AI should answer a defined need in the work. The decision, deliverable, and standard come before the tool.
Hybrid Intelligence Advisors grew from a practical question: how could experienced professionals use AI without giving up the judgment, voice, and standards their work required?
HIA began in the workplace, became an academy, and grew into an advisory firm.
Mel and Carl first used AI in their own work and with the teams they led.
At the time, they were senior leaders responsible for business development, human resources, proposals, and legal functions within their respective organizations.
They saw capable professionals who understood their jobs very well and knew little about how to apply new technologies to their work. In separate organizations, Mel and Carl brought their own deep knowledge of AI into the teams they led, helping people use it to strengthen important work, think through difficult questions, prepare for consequential conversations, and make sense of complex information.
Most available training focused on tools and prompt techniques. Professionals needed help directing AI, judging what it produced, and preserving the voice and standards their work required.
Hybrid Intelligence Academy remains HIA’s public seminar brand. Hybrid Intelligence Advisors is the primary brand for advisory, implementation, organizational training, and custom tools.
Mel brought experience in teaching, team leadership, operations, and organizational change. Carl brought decades of experience in law, executive leadership, human resources, governance, and responsible AI.
After training hundreds of people, Mel and Carl saw the larger challenge: leaders needed help choosing where AI belonged, preparing people to use it well, and carrying promising ideas into everyday work. Hybrid Intelligence Advisors grew from that need.
Today, HIA brings advisory, implementation, and training together so organizations can make sound choices and improve important work.
AI should answer a defined need in the work. The decision, deliverable, and standard come before the tool.
We study how the work happens, where people need help, and where judgment has to remain visible.
The right answer may be training, platform guidance, clearer standards, implementation support, or a focused custom tool.
People improve through guided use, careful review, and experience with work they are responsible for.
Mel and Carl combine experience teaching AI with responsibility for people, operations, quality, governance, and risk.

Some come to HIA for training. Others need help choosing tools, setting practical standards, preparing their people, or applying AI to an important recurring business need.
HIA helps organizations decide where AI belongs and put it to useful work through advisory, implementation, training, and focused custom tools.
We work with experienced professionals, teams, and organizations that care about quality and want practical help using AI.
We begin with the work, the people responsible for it, and the standard the result must meet. Technology follows those decisions.
Yes. We assess the tools and systems already in place before recommending a different platform or configuration.
We’ll learn what you need, ask the right questions, and recommend the form of support that fits the situation.
